iPod

Today went well! I woke up and went to Olney with my Aunt Linda and Grandma, after eating chinese I came home and headed to Effingham. While there mom and I watched New in Town it was alright, just pretty predictable at times. Moving right along to the main topic of this blog. My ipod is possibly the most important gadget I own, apart from my phone. So while cruising Wal-Mart of course I was listening to it. Well mom wanted me to go to the deli to get stuff for Kar's lunch. I was up and start telling the lady what I want and she acts like she can't hear me! Just because I had my ear buds in she has this look of extreme confusion on her face and keeps leaning closer to me even though I had paused my song to talk to her and knew I was speaking loudly enough for her to hear me. Then she proceeded to yell questions at me, I'm like honey I can hear you just fine, relax! It was extremely hilarious. I love technology.

Google Your Needs!

So I heard about this at school today. You go to google and type "Your name" needs. Then search and you should come up with some interesting topics. It's fun and entertaining. Here are a few of mine:

  1. Kylie needs privacy- Well who doesn't? I like not having people all up in my business.
  2. Kylie needs a year off- Pass, I am ready to be on with my life in the working world, get married and have some babies!
  3. Kylie needs you- I suppose it depends on who is reading this.
  4. Kylie needs to know about turning 40- Well, I think I need to worry about 20 first! Ha
  5. Kylie needs luck and love- But of course I do, everyone needs love at the very least.

Anyway thank goodness it's the weekend. I'm ready to sleep in and work on my speech for class.

SISPA

I look forward to going to Carbondale for SISPA every year. It's when our yearbook (my baby) wins it's best award, a Golden Dozen. This year we didn't fall short, we received our award. After doing so it was off to compete. I wrote my feature in about ten minutes and then I was finished for the day. After hanging out in the lobby with Chermom and some other advisers, I browsed through some other yearbooks, reviewed some other newspapers, and then headed to eat lunch with everyone. We didn't get to stay for awards because someone thought they had a meeting. So we took off back towards home. The ride home was great. I love my twin, Tammy, she's so funny and likable. After getting back to town, Ashley, Brittany, and I hit the track and walked a mile. Afterwards I walked/ran another mile and called it quits. Being healthy and active to lose a couple of pounds is going to be tough. Oh well, salad with very little dressing for dinner, YUM!

Who doesn't love being a Golden Dozen winner?

Winners!

So basically we dominated the trivia challenge last night. It was actually a lot of fun! During the whole thing we were either first place or tied for first. It was so intense and surprisingly enough, I actually helped! I knew several of the answers and even knew some that others on my team didn't. Our prize was $140, we decided to each take $20 and give 20 to our server and 20 to the trip the church is taking this summer. After that I got to see Sarah for the first time in about four or five months. It was so good to see her and hear all about her college life. Now I must go. A day of laundry, Spanish projects, and watching House is ahead of me.

Go team! Look for our picture and info in the next issue of The Talon!
